About

Mission Statement
The purpose of Chi Rho Omicron shall be to promote the understanding, enrichment and appreciation of the Pilipino culture, history and heritage through a brotherhood/family environment; to instill the desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence and the cultivation for civic responsibility.

History
Our seven founding fathers felt a need in strengthening Pilipino unity by extinguishing the lines between regions, class levels, and language barriers through brotherhood. On February 20, 1995, this ideal brotherhood unifying Pilipino and non- Pilipino became a reality on the campus of the California State University at Fresno.

Chi Rho Omicron was established at California Polytechnic University Pomona on June 2, 2000. The Cal Poly Pomona chapter is the first Sothern California chapter in Chi Rho Omicrons history. The Pomona chapter as well as our other chapters across the state of California reach out to the community as a way of spreading Pilipino awareness and showing support for the Pilipino community. By holding out our hands to the public, we aim to become a unique resource as well as an organization that practices its beliefs.
